There has been an outpouring of condolences from across the country and abroad over the Hathras stampede. Many people, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, German Ambassador Philip Ackerman, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati, have condoled the incident.

Ackerman wrote on social media, I am deeply saddened by the unfortunate incident in Hathras. My condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the incident. Home Minister Amit Shah wrote on social media, I am deeply saddened to know about the unfortunate incident in Hathras. Shah said, I spoke to CM Yogi about the incident and got information and assured him of all possible help.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, the incident is extremely painful. My condolences to the bereaved families. Biju Janata Dal President Naveen Patnaik also expressed grief over the incident. French Ambassador Thierry Mathou said, France expresses condolences to the bereaved families. Australian High Commissioner Philip Green wrote, my condolences to the people affected by the incident.

Rahul-Priyanka called for help

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi said, the government and administration are requested to provide treatment and relief to the victims.

He also expressed grief

Israel’s ambassador Naor Gilon expressed condolences over the Hathras incident and wished the injured a speedy recovery. Chinese ambassador Xu Feihong said, I am shocked and saddened by the incident. British High Commissioner Lindy Cameron wrote, I am shocked by the incident.
